Blood Sugar Sex Magik by the Red Hot Chili Peppers

Up until the release of this album, the success of the Red Hot Chili Peppers had been relatively small, but Blood Sugar Sex Magik shot the band into huge international stardom. John did some of his best work on this album: "For the first time in my life I have done something that I am completely 100% proud of". His mother appeared as one of the back-up singers in Under the bridge. But he considered success to be detremental to his creative strength and consequently left the band in May of 1992.
